Before your appointment
Pre-treatment instructions
These apply to injectables (dermal filler, anti-wrinkle, fat-dissolving, PDO threads) and skin needling. Read them even if it's not your first visit — small things make a real difference to how your treatment settles.
- No alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Alcohol thins the blood and increases the chance of bruising.
- Pause anti-inflammatory + blood-thinning medication for 7 days if you can. That includes aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and high-dose vitamin E. Don't stop anything a doctor prescribed you without asking them first.
- Book at least 2 weeks before any special event. Weddings, holidays, photo shoots — filler and anti-wrinkle need time to settle and any bruising or swelling to clear. Plan with that window in mind.
- Results take 4–7 days to appear. Mild bruising or swelling during that time is normal, not a problem — your final result is what you see from day 7 onwards.
- Reschedule if you have a rash, cold sore, or breakout in the area. At least 24 hours notice please. It's never a hassle — treating inflamed skin is the hassle.
- Not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We'll see you again after.
When in doubt, ask.
Anything on a prescription, a recent illness, or a big change in
medication — mention it at the consultation. It's always easier to
adjust the plan than to reverse a reaction.
